Potato Dextrose Agar (with Cupric Chloride and CV) D0C2-Potato Dextrose Agar with CV and CuCl2 (partially Selective for Verticillium, Beveria and Metarazia)

CLS DCM-PDA-02 Category

Principle
Potato dextrose agar (with Cupric Chloride and CV) is modification of potato dextrose agar. It is composed
of potato infusion, dextrose, cupric chloride, crystal violet and agar. It is used for selective cultivation of
Entomopathogenic molds. Potato infusion, serve as the source of all essential nutrients such as amino acids,
vitamins, other trace elements, required for the growth. Dextrose supply carbon and energy source. The
cupric chloride and crystal violet provide selectivity for entomopathogenic molds. Crystal violet inhibit the
growth of gram-positive organisms. Cupric chloride is required for the growth of entomopathogenic molds.
Use: Recommended for the cultivation of Entomopathogenic molds.
